Raising much needed money for your Church or favourite charity

Recent press reports tell us how difficult charities are finding things at this time with the ever increasing tension of meeting the demands for their services from limited financial resources.

Indeed, your Church may be facing such issues – wanting to support your favourite charity, needing to raise funds for new Church equipment or perhaps to send financial support to overseas workers.

To help with these charitable opportunities, we are pleased to announce an extension to our Charity donation scheme. This extension will now enable your Church to raise much needed funds for any charitable cause that you should choose, simply by displaying leaflets which will be produced for you and then encouraging the congregation to consider Methodist Insurance for their home and contents cover.

For every new policy taken out by your Church members, their family or friends, we will forward a charity cheque equivalent to 20% of the first year’s premium on any new home and contents policy.

To help in your fund raising we will produce special leaflets and a poster for use in your Church, the front of which will be personalised to your Church with a picture or perhaps showing the cause that you are supporting - these will be supplied without cost. All we would ask is the congregation are informed of your scheme and given opportunity to take a leaflet and contact us. They will fill in the enquiry card, return it to us, ensuring that your Church name is filled in, and we will contact them directly to discuss their requirements.

Many local and national charities have already benefited from this scheme and we trust that the expansion of this to local Church level will help you in your Church.
