Manse insurance
These policies provide you with all the protection you would expect from an established church insurer. .
Buildings and Contents – the manse buildings and contents are covered on an all risks basis against damage from causes such as fire, explosion, storm, flood, falling trees, malicious persons, subsidence, escape of water, vehicle impact, theft and accidental damage.
It also covers accidental damage to underground pipes, glass and sanitaryware. Replacement locks and accidental loss of oil or water are also covered.
It isn’t just the contents owned by the Circuit within the manse, but the policy also covers Circuit contents and equipment elsewhere, for example in a Circuit office at a church.
Rent – if the Circuit or District suffers a loss of rent resulting from loss or damage to Circuit or District property, this is covered by the policy. It also covers the reasonable cost of alternative accommodation while the property is uninhabitable.
Money – Circuit or District money is automatically covered, together with damage to a safe during a theft or attempted theft.
Liability – the policy covers you for damages and legal costs if you cause bodily injury or damage to property, including injury to any domestic employee.
Personal Accident – automatically included is personal accident protection to cover Ministers, Deacons, Deaconesses, employees, volunteers, local preachers and lay workers in the event of an accidental injury.
Legal Protection – there is even legal expenses cover provided by DAS Legal Expenses Insurance Company Ltd.
