The impact of disability legislation means that many more churches are now installing lifting devices on their premises - passenger lifts, chairlifts, lifting platforms or any other lifting devices.
Churches must comply with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998, which require a periodic thorough examination by a competent person. This is not the same as a regular inspection under a maintenance contract – you must have a statutory inspection too.
In partnership with Alianz Cornhill Engineering we are able to provide the inspection service you need to comply with this legislation. An Engineering Surveyor will visit your premises to carry out an inspection, following which you will receive a report of the examination.
