MONEY MATTERS

Loss of Income

Q If our church had to close following damage to the property by an insured event, could we make a claim for loss of income?
A Yes; if there is loss of income such as a reduced collection or no rent from hirers. Additional expenses such as the cost of hiring alternative premises or equipment are also covered.
The maximum amount we can pay is 10% of the total sum insured under Section 1 - Property unless a different figure is agreed beforehand and is referred to in the schedule.

Q Can we claim for the cancellation of a church event?
A Cancellation of an event is covered unless it is the result of weather conditions or lack of support and the most we will pay is £100.

Q In what circumstances is money covered by the policy?

Q Is church money covered in a motor vehicle?
A It is covered whilst the vehicle is in use, but specifically excluded by the policy when the vehicle is unattended.

Q What is the maximum we can claim?
A A maximum of £5,000, but we will only pay £250 for cash not placed in a safe in an unattended church.

Q Is it satisfactory to keep safe keys on the church premises?
