Church premises are used by many groups and it is important they have adequate insurance cover in place.
Groups which fall under the oversight of the Church Council are already covered under the Church Shield policy. But there are also outside users and their insurance cover is very important – whether they pay you rent, give you a donation or use the premises for free.
With this in mind, no outside user should be allowed to use church premises until you are certain that their arrangements for Public Liability insurance are adequate. To make sure that proper insurance is in place and the Church is adequately protected, please refer to our Outside Users leaflet which can be downloaded below.
We provide two policies ideally suited to groups that use your premises - Community Shield for smaller groups and Charity Shield for larger groups.
